La Casa Azul was Frida's childhood home and the place of her birth which became her refuge throughout life. From the comforts of her home, she painted, hosted gatherings, had affairs, taught students (the original stay at home worker), and later died. The building is still painted blue and stands in Coyoacan, Mexico as a museum about her life with her preserved personal objects, including canvases, casts, her prosthetic leg, and household objects.

These earring have turquoise stones and off-white beads that dangle down about 1.5". A sterling silver post is included with two different earring backs. Don't tell anyone, but these earrings are my favorite piece from the collection.
